The Henderson County Board of Education received its monthly financial update on April 20. Treasurer Mr. Stokes reported total receipts for March 2026 of $5,348,729 and total expenses of $8,532,399, yielding a net change of negative $3,183,669.
Superintendent Dr. Lawson asked the board to approve the treasurer’s report as presented; a motion was made and seconded and the board approved the report by voice vote.
Mr. Stokes also presented the paid warrant report for disbursements between March 17 and April 20, 2026, totaling $5,339,287.04. The board approved the paid warrant report after a motion and second.
No member asked substantive questions about line‑item spending during the public meeting. The board’s acceptance of the reports does not itself change budget policy; members will receive routine monthly financial updates as part of regular board oversight.
