The Dale County Commission on March 10 approved two technology-related vendor agreements: C-Spire internet service agreements for county offices and a Flock Safety license-plate camera expansion for the sheriff's office.
Commissioner Chris Carroll moved to approve two C-Spire internet agreements for the Coroner's office and the Road & Bridge department; Commissioner Donald O. Grantham seconded and the motion carried. The C-Spire order forms included in the packet (Exhibit 5 and Exhibit 19) list service descriptions and monthly charges (one location line shows $139.95/month as a quoted monthly charge). The billing and technical contact listed for the county on the order forms is Aaron Meeks.
Commissioner Grantham then moved to approve a Flock Safety agreement to add three additional license-plate-recognition cameras for the sheriff's office; Commissioner Carroll seconded and the motion carried. The Flock Safety order form and pricing summary (Exhibit 6) show annual recurring amounts of $9,000 and a contract total listed as $27,000 across the contract term; the vendor's materials describe camera hardware, professional services for implementation and billing schedule details.
The actions were recorded as unanimous votes among the three commissioners present. The minutes do not include debate or conditions attached to the approvals; they record the motions, seconds and that all voted aye. Implementation responsibilities fall to the county departments working with the vendors to schedule installs and configure services.
Next steps: County technical staff will coordinate with C-Spire and Flock Safety per the signed agreements and the vendors' implementation materials; the commission did not record a public comment period on these items.
