A Price City council member announced they will submit an irrevocable resignation letter to the council to be effective Dec. 31 and said the council will start the replacement process at the first meeting in January.
The council member said they will file the resignation to allow the city to begin finding a successor and that the replacement will be appointed at the council's first meeting in January. Council members asked whether a written resignation should be submitted immediately; staff recommended sending the resignation letter to initiate the process.
Council did not vote on or approve a successor at the workshop; members said they will accept applications or recommendations and complete an appointment early in January.
