Lincoln County court approves budgets, small purchases and surplus of old recycling conveyor; conservation group donates $5,000

At its March 10 meeting the Lincoln County Fiscal Court approved the Conservation District budget and a $5,000 Dead Animal Removal donation, okayed a $450 purchase of replacement bulbs for road vehicles, declared an old recycling conveyor surplus, and approved claims and transfers.
The Lincoln County Fiscal Court on March 10 accepted the Conservation District's annual budget and received a $5,000 check from Kenny Stamper for the Dead Animal Removal program. Stamper told the court the budget was unchanged from the prior year; Magistrate Gutenson moved to accept it, Magistrate Stanley seconded, and the motion carried.
Road Foreman Jeremy Vanhook told the court several county vehicles had damaged lights from recent inclement weather and located two pallets of surplus bulbs in Frankfort: one for general vehicles costing $350 and another for plow trucks discounted to $100. Magistrate King moved to issue a $450 payment to the Kentucky State Treasurer to acquire the bulbs; Magistrate Gutenson seconded and the court approved the expenditure.
Judge Adams reported the Recycling Center received a new conveyor through a grant and the old conveyor is taking up space. The court approved a motion to surplus the previous conveyor and directed staff to pursue sale for scrap or donation to another facility.
Magistrate King and Foreman Vanhook discussed Sharon Road maintenance; Vanhook said gravel had been placed only to create a bus turnaround. Jane Vanhook requested repair to the road at Logan Hubble Park. Sheriff Shawn Hines reported two Flock cameras are now in service in Hustonville; the City of Stanford has four. The court also approved payment of claims and cash transfers and adjourned, setting the next regular meeting for March 24, 2026.
