The Glendale Planning & Historic Preservation Commission approved a proposed one-story rear addition for the property at 915 Greenville.
Julie Failyn of Grove Architects appeared for the applicant (Barbara Lumsden) and presented drawings describing a family room, mudroom and small porch. A commissioner asked about window materials; Failyn said the project will use Anderson Woodwright windows described as wood on the interior with a fiberglass exterior and noted their quality comparable to other premium lines.
A commissioner moved to approve the design as submitted, another seconded, and the commission carried the motion by voice vote. Commissioners characterized the design as appropriate for the context.
Staff and the applicant confirmed standard permitting and follow-up will proceed in coordination with building inspection and any applicable guidelines.
