County’s Open to Business program reminds Forest Lake businesses of free advising and loan options

Chris (Washington County Open to Business) briefed the EDA on the county program that provides no-cost business advising, site assistance and access to working-capital loans. He said the summary in the packet lists several Forest Lake businesses assisted in 2025 and urged commissioners to refer struggling businesses to the program.
When asked about an entry in the report labeled "other outside of Washington County," Chris said he would check and follow up to clarify whether that line represented referrals or services handled by a neighboring-county adviser.
