"So we will be advancing onto the baseball field and the softball field, and, obviously, the school opens fall 27," he said.
Performance Services provided a progress update on Cool Creek Elementary and Westfield Middle School, including phase 2 kindergarten classroom reconfigurations, stormwater detention chamber installation to free playground space, roofing and locker-room renovation work and plans to complete many of the interior finishes during summer work windows. The firm said some work will require swing space and temporary partitions to maintain instruction while construction continues.
Representatives updating the transportation and site utilities projects reported completed sanitary and water mains, fuel-station testing, bus bay and wash-bay infrastructure work, and target move-in coordination for the transportation team. Several presentations included contingency-usage figures and described next steps for tap approvals, asphalt top-coat and site restoration.
Contractors also outlined punch-list items, interior storefront and drywall finishing, HVAC startup and playground installation schedules for Shamrock Springs and other campuses. Board members and administrators discussed coordination with the city and county on road and stormwater permitting and approvals.
Administrators asked the board for assistance in expediting a signed sewer connection document to allow final utility taps. The board heard these construction updates as part of its business and operations agenda and did not take separate votes on project scopes or change orders during the meeting.
