The Camp Verde Town Council voted unanimously on March 25 to approve a Notice of Intent proposing changes to the town's FY2027 rates, fees and service charges. Town Manager Miranda Fisher presented an overview of proposed departmental changes and fielded Council questions about the scope and timing of adjustments.
Council members asked for revisions and clarifications during the discussion; Finance Director Michael Showers and Town Attorney Trish Stuhan responded to legal and accounting questions, and Development Services Director Christian Green provided technical details where relevant. Fisher told the Council the proposed changes will be posted on the Town's website for a public review period beginning March 26, 2026, and a public hearing is scheduled for the May 27, 2026 Town Council meeting when the Council will consider adoption.
On a motion by Councilor Robin Godwin, seconded by Councilor Jessie Murdock, the Council approved the Notice of Intent as discussed. The roll call vote was: Bolton, Seybold, Foreman, Murdock, Godwin, Escoffier and Mayor Marie Moore voting aye; the motion carried 7-0.
The action is procedural: the Notice of Intent opens the formal review and hearing process but does not itself change rates. The Council directed staff to incorporate the revisions discussed and to publish the proposed schedule and details online ahead of the May 27 hearing.
