The Spooner Area School District Board approved several routine administrative items at its regular meeting, including shared-services contracts, district technology upgrades, donations and agreements for the 2026–27 school year.
Chair (speaker 1) opened the meeting and the board unanimously approved the agenda and consent items before moving into substantive business. Dr. Banker listed a large group of community donations, including a package valued at over $4,000 for skateboards, helmets and training from First First Push and an anonymous $500 donation to elementary negative meal accounts; the board voted to accept the donations.
The board approved shared-services agreements with CISA 10 and CESA 11 after motions were made and seconded and passed by voice vote. The board also approved a CESA 11 agreement and three separate proposed 66.03 agreements for finance manager, food services and library media services for the 2026–27 school year.
On technology, the board approved a proposal to replace the district phone system. Because the item carried a significant price tag, members requested a roll call. Clerk (speaker 6) called the roll and the board voted in favor of the replacement.
Other approvals included a WIAA girls soccer cooperative agreement for 2026–28 and early-graduation requests for members of the Class of 2026. Fundraiser requests brought forward from the Committee of the Whole were also approved.
