Wausau committee recommends continued membership in state school nutrition cooperative

The Wausau School District Committee of the Whole voted March 23 to recommend that the full school board renew the district’s membership in the Wisconsin School Nutrition Purchasing Cooperative (WISNAP) for the 2026–27 school year.
"It does provide us with some great purchasing advantages," Karen Fox, the district’s school nutrition director, told the committee. She said membership yields year-end rebates, volume incentives and keeps the district informed of national school nutrition trends.
Chair introduced the motion to recommend passage of the cooperative agreement under Wisconsin Statute 66.0301; the motion was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote. No board member registered opposition during the vote.
The committee’s recommendation now goes to the full board for final approval at its next meeting.
