Council member Clark moved to adopt the resolution, saying it will permit the Fire Department to enter into and execute an agreement with the University of Cincinnati for medical direction services. After discussion, the council voted 7–0 to adopt the resolution.
The resolution was read by title only following a successful motion to suspend the rule requiring full reading, and the council recorded a unanimous vote with no amendments announced during the meeting.
