Council member Adams said the resolution enables the police department and city manager to execute the five-year agreement with PO 9 Incorporated to continue using these services. After discussion, the council voted 7–0 to adopt the resolution.
The resolution was read by title only after the council suspended the normal rule requiring full reading; the clerk noted the measure had been posted in advance as required. The council took no amendments and the motion passed by a recorded unanimous vote.
