CCRPC offers municipal support for MRGP segment upgrades; May 23 eligibility deadline noted

The CCRPC told TAC members on May 6, 2025 that it has funding to help municipalities develop conceptual plans and cost estimates for road segments that are not in compliance with the Municipal Roads General Permit (MRGP).
Chris Dubin, CCRPC, described the assistance offer and said municipalities that want to participate must return a signed letter by May 23, 2025 to be eligible for initial funding offers. Staff referenced the Agency of Transportation website for eligible documents and noted CCRPC can provide consultant assistance to identify best management practices, conceptual plans and cost estimates for improvements.
The announcement is intended to help towns apply MRGP best practices and access state assistance; staff encouraged municipalities to reach out to CCRPC planners to discuss specific project needs and eligibility.
