Lawrence City accepts three Lawrence Village streets into city inventory

Renee Rufala, director of public works, said the streets were built years earlier but were missed during prior inventory and tax-roll reviews. "These streets were built as part of Lawrence Village ... and they should have been accepted several years ago," Rufala said. She asked the council to accept the three streets so the city can start receiving tax dollars tied to them.
A board member asked specifically about Holly Drive and whether the documentation covered the west portion; Rufala confirmed the west portion was the item needing acceptance and said the other portions had already been accepted. The council moved, seconded and approved a combined acceptance motion by voice vote.
