Sheboygan County Executive Committee elects supervisor as secretary, sets schedule and approves routine items

Chairman Keith Abler called the Sheboygan County Executive Committee to order at 11:00 a.m. April 23. Michelle Sifuentes certified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings law and said the meeting notice was posted at 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2026.
Supervisor Curt Brauer moved to elect Supervisor Jackie Veldman to serve as Committee Secretary; Supervisor Jay Vander Weele seconded the motion and the committee carried it. Later, Supervisor Brauer moved that the committee meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m., subject to change; Supervisor John Nelson seconded and the motion carried.
The committee addressed the County Board Chair’s liaison committee assignments. Supervisor Brauer moved to approve the appointments as presented; Supervisor Veldman seconded and the motion was adopted. The committee reviewed expense sheets and, on a motion by Supervisor Brauer seconded by Supervisor Veldman, approved them.
The Executive Committee set its next meeting for Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Supervisor Brauer moved to adjourn; Supervisor Vander Weele seconded and the motion carried. The minutes record the meeting adjourned at 11:34 a.m.
The meeting record lists members present in person as Keith Abler, Curt Brauer, Jay Vander Weele, John Nelson and Jackie Veldman; other attendees were Alayne Krause, Emily Stewart and James Webb. Michelle Sifuentes is listed as recording secretary.
