Trustee Jean M. Kelly announced the Bolingbrook Lions Club Meat Raffle on Feb. 1 raising funds for Beep Baseball. Trustee Michael J. Carpanzano promoted the Character Counts 3‑on‑3 event on March 2 at Brooks Middle School, and Trustee Troy J. Doris noted the 27th Annual Black History Month event on Feb. 4 at Bolingbrook High School. Trustee Jose Quintero highlighted the Non‑profit Coalition’s Valentine’s Day Dinner at the Bolingbrook Golf Club and encouraged resident registration.
Mayor Mary S. Alexander‑Basta announced the Bolingbrook Park District’s Winterfest on Feb. 1 at the Annerino Center and urged residents to confirm information with Village staff rather than rely on social media posts.
Village Attorney Burt Odelson described a recent apartment fire in Chicago Ridge that displaced residents and said many affected lacked renters insurance; he urged local renters to obtain coverage and noted the Lions Club’s donation efforts for victims.
There were no public comments on agenda items and no executive session was held. The meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
