Huntley pension board adopts Decision and Order in Daniel Rowe matter; counsel offers pension-law updates

The Huntley Police Pension Fund Board voted on Jan. 22 to approve, adopt and publish a Decision and Order prepared for a matter involving Daniel Rowe.
Attorney Jerry Marzullo of the firm Asher, Gittler & D'Alba presented the Decision and Order. Trustee Timothy Heagney moved to approve the document and Trustee Michael Hewitt seconded; the motion carried by roll call (AYES: Heagney, Cathy Haley, Michael Hewitt, Laura Mraz). The board directed staff to publish the Decision and Order as prepared.
Marzullo also provided the trustees with legislative and judicial updates concerning Article 3 pension funds and other general pension matters. The updates were presented as background for trustees; no motion or action was recorded beyond the adoption and publication of the Decision and Order.
There was no need for closed session. The meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
