The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners approved a budget amendment for an already‑approved Secondary Road Patrol grant on Sept. 16. County staff explained the amendment reallocates savings in personnel costs to the equipment line to replace the sheriff’s total station mapping equipment used for fatal-crash investigations; the grant’s total amount was not increased.
Commissioner Kathy‑Sue Vette moved the amendment and Commissioner Jake Smith seconded. The board approved the amendment on a roll‑call vote of 7‑0 (Res.155‑2021).
