The board was also given a roll call of recent gifts and scholarships to schools and programs; examples included a $2,000 Tyler Hill Sunshine Scholarship from the Minneapolis Foundation and memorial scholarships of $2,700 and $2,750 listed under the James Jackson memorial entries. Year‑to‑date contributions to date were reported as $225,474.90.
Staff noted that adopted budget materials will be issued soon to department heads and principals and that the board’s financial committee will meet on June 4 to review budget and audit preparation items. The board did not change budget policy at the meeting; work on the adopted budget will continue through the spring.
