CCRPC approves comment letters on Vermont Gas pipeline and GlobalFoundries BESS

On the GlobalFoundries battery energy storage system (BESS) in Essex Junction, Schibler flagged a possible constraint related to agricultural soils and recommended deferring to the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets to resolve that issue. CCRPC staff concluded both projects meet the commission's suitability and constraint policies provided applicants coordinate with appropriate agencies to mitigate impacts.
Andy Montroll moved to approve the two letters as presented; Jacki Murphy seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
