A Member from Morristown told colleagues the statistics show systemic inequities and called for policy responses to expand access to prenatal and postpartum care and to support midwives, doulas and community‑based models.
The Member from Morristown also welcomed members of the Black Mamas Matter Alliance in the gallery and emphasized that solutions are driven by community‑led organizations. The House directed the secretary of state to send copies of the resolution as specified in the text.
