Council hears $94,436 change order to add second pump track at Jensen Park funded by community sponsors

Jim Kelly presented change order number 2 to the city’s contract with American Ramp Company to complete a two-track pump-track system at Jensen Park.
Kelly said the project has been funded largely by sponsors, including the Rotary Club, the Stillaguamish Tribe, Amazon and Snohomish County. "When now this project is sort of unique and as much that it is not costing the city any money, it is being sponsored by the rotary," Kelly said. He explained the $94,436 figure was included in the original American Ramp Company quotation but was removed earlier when full funding was not available; now the city seeks to reauthorize that amount to build the second ramp.
Council members confirmed the reinstated amount was part of the original estimate and would not require additional city budget. Staff indicated no further approvals were needed beyond acknowledging the updated contract modification.
