During an executive session March 23, 2026, the Caldwell School District Board of Trustees accepted the district office’s recommendation concerning employee number 22-12-2025 and directed the district to conduct an independent investigation into employee number 2026-02-09A.
Vice Chair Trish Robertson moved to accept the district’s recommendation on employee 22-12-2025; the board voted in favor. Robertson then moved to direct the district to undertake an independent investigation regarding employee 2026-02-09A; that motion was seconded and approved by the board.
The board recessed into executive session under Idaho Code § 74-206(1)(b) (personnel matters) and § 74-206(1)(j) (labor contract matters), as stated on the record. Trustees did not discuss personnel specifics in open session; board members said the matters required confidential handling and that staff (including Dr. French) would return findings or recommendations to the board.
Because personnel proceedings were handled in executive session, the board provided only outcome-level actions at the public meeting: acceptance of one recommendation and authorization of an independent investigation for the other employee. The district will report results as appropriate and consistent with law and board policy.
