Dan summarized an emergency roundtable attended by county representatives, the sheriff's office, 911, fire and EMS. He described the meeting as constructive and said the county will set quarterly cross-department roundtables to maintain communication and identify operational needs.
"Everyone was receptive, and it was a good chance for us to get another point of view from what was needed in the county from certain departments," Dan said.
Board members discussed ambulance workload and hotspots; one member said the county has four EMS hotspots and receives at least two related rescue calls a week. The board scheduled follow-up conversations and set an item for the first April meeting for Dustin to give the annual ambulance report and address specific concerns.
Ending: The board directed staff to continue interagency coordination and to return with the ambulance/EMS annual report at the next meeting.
