County Administrator Kenneth Wilson requested on March 31 that the board indefinitely postpone Resolution 18526, a proposed $3,000,000 pilot to create a Franklin County affordable‑housing predevelopment bridge fund.
Wilson told the board staff are still working to add items to the program’s guidelines and qualifications to ensure the pilot is tightly targeted to emerging developers and benefits the intended recipients. "We are working on adding additional items to the program guidelines and qualifications to ensure that this needed pilot benefits those that we are targeting," Wilson said.
The board moved, seconded and voted to postpone Resolution 18526 indefinitely to allow additional staff work; no further substantive debate occurred during the meeting. County administration indicated it will return the resolution to the commissioners when the revised guidelines and qualifications are complete.
