Jenna Price sworn in; Kyle Jaekel elected council president, David Lescoher named president pro tem

At its April 21 meeting the Fort Atkinson City Council swore in Jenna Price, elected Kyle Jaekel council president for 2026–27 (vote recorded 5–0) and selected David Lescoher as president pro tem; both leadership actions were approved by the new council.
The Fort Atkinson City Council on April 21 administered oaths and selected new leadership for the 2026–27 term.
Clerk Evert administered the oath of office to Bruce Johnson and to Jenna Price, who repeated the constitutional oath and concluded, “so help me God.” After the new council was called to order, a motion to nominate Kyle Jaekel for council president was made and seconded; Jaekel accepted the nomination and the council voted to elect him, a motion the clerk recorded as carrying 5–0. Council member David Lescoher was nominated and elected president pro tem by voice vote.
The leadership selections followed the swearing-in and seating of the newly elected and re-elected members, and took place at the start of the council’s April 21 meeting. The council proceeded to its regular agenda after the votes.
