Summary
The board granted site plan approval for a revised 10‑unit 8‑30g development at 261 Meadowside Road after department reviews and with standard conditions; attorney said the project will add three affordable units to the city's inventory.
The Milford Planning & Zoning Board approved a revised 8‑30g application for 261 Meadowside Road in a 5‑2 roll‑call vote.
Attorney Thomas Lynch presented the project and said the applicant reduced the plan from 11 to 10 units following the fire marshal’s requirement for a turnaround at the end of the driveway. Lynch said the site is surrounded by other multifamily developments and that departments had reviewed and accepted the revised plans. Engineer Ronald Wazmer walked the board through grading, drainage, utility connections, erosion‑control measures and an illumination and landscaping plan; he said the buildings would connect to municipal sewer and underground utilities.
The applicant submitted an affordability plan showing lower‑income rental levels and projected rents for 60% and 80% area‑median income tiers. Lynch said the project would add three affordable units to local inventory under state 8‑30g rules. After department approvals and no public speakers, a motion to approve the site plan carried on the roll call (5 in favor, 2 opposed).
