Grisco said the developer has agreed to reposition the building on the plan to address neighbors' concerns about dumpster location and a potential vehicle egress that could allow drivers to cut behind the building to exit on Schoolcraft. He described the project as a locally owned, family-operated investment rather than a national chain.
Council members expressed support for cleaning up a blighted corner and recommended the item be placed on the regular April 8 agenda for formal action.
