The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission Joint Finance and Executive Committee approved a CCRPC comment letter on Rhino Foods’ Act 250/Section 248 application and ratified a previously circulated Colchester letter to the Public Utility Commission.
Taylor Newton summarized the Rhino Foods filing to merge two lots and build a 65,000-square-foot addition at Queen City Park Road in Burlington, noting the site is planned for growth and has water, sewer and transit service and local municipal approval. Catherine McMains moved to approve the CCRPC letter as written; Jacki Murphy seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Newton also stated a Colchester application had been circulated to members 2–3 weeks earlier because the notice and comment period did not coincide with a committee meeting. Members raised no objections; Jacki Murphy moved to ratify the letter already submitted to the Public Utility Commission; Michael Bissonette seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
