The commission discussed community planning for the Wyoming 250 celebration and heard a summary of county extension activities.
A Greybull Standard reporter interviewed commissioners about forming a Wyoming 250 planning committee. Greene summarized a meeting with N. Neylon of Wyoming State Parks and outlined possible projects including recreating a 1976 photo book of the Big Horn Forest, laser shows, barn quilts that could involve local schools, and possible train involvement with Burlington Northern. Commissioners said they would coordinate with town organizers and the Fair Board.
UW Extension educator Gretchen Gasvoda-Kelso provided an overview of Extension programs and asked commissioners for priorities or needs the Extension could address; commissioners thanked Extension for ongoing community work.
Next steps: Committee membership for Wyoming 250 will be developed and local coordination with Medicine Lodge and other towns will continue.
