The Big Horn County Commission approved a right-of-way permit for Lane 45 and waived the permit fee March 4 after Engineering staff noted the permit will remove a culvert from county maintenance.
M. Leonhardt of Engineering/Road & Bridge presented the permit and said the landowner had previously spoken to S. Hovey about the project and recommended approval. Commissioner Bruce Jolley moved to approve the permit as presented; the motion was seconded and carried. Commissioner Dave Neves then moved to waive the permit fee because the work removes a culvert from county maintenance; that motion was seconded and carried.
Leonhardt also told commissioners of pending wording changes to the county’s right-of-way permit to establish reasonable completion and repair timelines for projects and summarized a traffic-reroute plan submitted by the Leavitt Reservoir contractor. Leonhardt said he would verify signage and that work conformed to the submitted plan.
