Staff provided several brief updates under Other Business. Taylor Newton said the West Central Vermont Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) has been formally approved by regional partners and that partners will work on establishing an Economic Development Authority over the summer and fall. Newton also flagged the Northern Borders Regional Commission Catalyst Program grant application with an upcoming deadline and asked members to notify staff if CCRPC will be identified as the local development district (LDD) for a project.
Melanie Needle reminded PAC members to submit Development Activity Reports and noted CCRPC’s updated regional and municipal energy data and maps; she also said Vermont Public Service Department data to inform enhanced energy plan targets has been delayed until at least fall. Staff reported they completed most FEMA flood map bylaw audits and found only minor changes will be needed for municipal compliance; CCRPC will offer bylaw-update assistance next fiscal year. Finally, staff asked members to e-mail Taylor and Darren about Act 250 and Section 248 projects on the horizon.
