CCRPC issues RFQ for land-use consultants after no responses to project-manager solicitation

After an initial Project Manager RFQ received no responses, CCRPC released a request for qualifications for land-use consultants to support a RAISE-funded Transit-Oriented Development project; responses were due June 16 and a review committee will recommend candidates to TAC on July 11.
Taylor Newton, Planning Program Manager at CCRPC, updated the PAC on the RAISE-grant-funded Transportation Oriented Development project that the commission is managing. He said CCRPC had first sought a Project Manager to oversee consultant procurement but received no responses, so staff put out a RFQ for land-use consultants in mid-May.
Newton said responses to the land-use consultant RFQ are due June 16 and that PAC members Meagan Tuttle, Larry Lewack and Cymone Bedford will serve on a review committee with CCRPC staff. The committee’s recommendation is scheduled to be forwarded to the Technical Advisory Committee on July 11. Newton noted that municipalities will be able to use the resulting pre‑qualified consultant list for UPWP projects over the next two years.
PAC members expressed interest in municipal involvement in the review and quality control steps; Newton said he will connect municipal staff with the RFQ and the review process.
