Commission votes to cancel May 27 meeting, will reconvene June 24

At the end of the April 22 meeting the commission voted on a procedural motion to cancel the May 27, 2026 regular meeting and to resume on June 24, 2026 in the Civic Arts Plaza Boardroom. Chair Lauren Simmel moved the motion and Miss Vasquez called the roll. Vice Chair Selm, Commissioner Guetta and Commissioner Weichel voted yes; Commissioner Callahan was absent and did not vote. The motion carried 4–0.
Staff said they would notify the absent commissioner and that the commission expects to return in June with routine informational items and any necessary agenda items that arise before then.
