The Water Resources Board on March 24 approved a $24,800 amendment to SSR’s task order for the WARF Headworks recommission to add structural design and construction administration for a vacuum‑truck loadout area next to the Headworks Building. Board members voted by voice after staff described the omission from Amendment No. 1.
Valerie, a staff presenter, told the board, "This amendment ... will cover structural design and construction administration for a vacuum truck loadout area." She said the two items were accidentally omitted when SSR prepared the earlier amendment and that the additional work and a few other cost adjustments would be added now.
A board member asked whether there was anything more to add; another staff member replied, "That covers it." A motion to approve the amendment was made, seconded and the board approved the request by voice vote.
The staff presentation referenced prior work to bring the building up to NFPA standards and noted the current amendment restores omitted design elements; staff characterized the change as corrective rather than an expansion of scope. The board took no other action on the item.
The matter will be reflected in contract paperwork and publicly posted procurement records as required by the city's contracting procedures.
