The Fox River Grove Village Board unanimously approved its consent agenda on Aug. 15, which included approval of the Aug. 1 meeting minutes, the accounts payable list for Aug. 15 and Ordinance 2023-12, updating building codes.
Trustee Devin Hester moved to approve the consent agenda items A–C and Trustee Andrew Migdal seconded; roll call recorded Trustees Curtiss, Hester, Knar, Migdal, Schladt and Wall voting "yes."
Under other business Administrator Soderholm reported that Spore to More had been awarded a $500 façade grant intended to cover 50 percent of the cost of a new sign. After installation the sign cost rose and the business owner asked the board to consider increasing the award. The board reached consensus to increase the payout by $211, bringing the total award to $708; the minutes state that approval of the payment will be granted with the next accounts payable report.
The minutes do not record additional conditions attached to the building-code ordinance or the façade grant beyond the increased payment authorization. The actions will be reflected in the village’s financial and ordinance records.
