Board approves minutes, discusses wind-application scheduling and packet delivery; staff to recommend engineered foundation plans

Following three variance hearings, the Dickinson County Board of Adjustment approved amended minutes from its July 22 meeting, discussed scheduling for upcoming wind-application reviews and addressed administrative items.
The board approved the amended minutes on a motion by Alex Oponski, seconded by Kirby Berhow, with all in favor. Planning & Zoning Administrator Megan Kardell asked members about availability for tentative multi-day wind-application review sessions; board members indicated agreement to schedule a three-day meeting if needed. Kardell also noted high postage costs for delivering meeting packets; the board agreed to default to emailed packets unless a paper copy is requested. Kardell added that floor plans will be added to future applications and that Planning & Zoning is recommending to the Board of Supervisors that new houses require foundational plans prepared or stamped by a licensed engineer or land surveyor.
Kirby Berhow moved to adjourn and Susan Clark seconded; the motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
