CCRPC announces new energy project manager and regional CEDS collaboration; PAC notes upcoming town energy plan approvals

Town energy plans: Mahony said the Town of Hinesburg has adopted its local energy plan and that it will be brought to the CCRPC Board for approval on Sept. 15; Underhill's plan may go to its selectboard the next day and could come to the CCRPC Board subsequently.
Staffing: CCRPC has hired Ann Janda as Energy Project Manager to assist municipalities with energy implementation activities; staff asked towns to share their implementation spreadsheets so the new hire can track proposed projects.
Regional CEDS: CCRPC is working with Addison, Rutland and Central Vermont on a combined West Central Vermont Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to update the ECOS Plan; the collaboration could position the region to seek Economic Development District status and more consistent EDA funding.
Other items: staff noted an upcoming statewide webinar with Green Mountain Power on electric vehicles (Sept. 21), that CCRPC/Drive Electric Vermont is offering EV planning assistance this fiscal year, and circulated a list of FFY22 Congressionally Designated Spending Requests for information.
