Burbank SD 111 board holds closed session on personnel after employee request; no public actions taken

District administrators Pamela Lindemann, Dr. Ana Ochoa, Kristin Welsh, Michaela Faust, Robert McCartney and Joseph Ficker were listed as in attendance. Swistowicz led the Pledge of Allegiance and noted the meeting was being audio recorded.
During the public-comment portion, Kristin Welsh, identified in the minutes as a district employee, "requested to speak to the board in closed session." Vice President Jansen moved that the board go into closed session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 "to consider the appointment, employment, and dismissal or evaluation of personnel," and Member Gregory Komperda seconded. The board voted by roll call with all seven members recorded as voting yes, and the board entered closed session at 5:31 p.m.
The board reconvened in public at 8:08 p.m. President Swistowicz asked for any motions arising from the closed-session discussion; the minutes record that there were none. Vice President Jansen moved to adjourn, Komperda seconded, the roll call vote again recorded seven ayes, and Swistowicz adjourned the meeting at 8:09 p.m.
