Siskiyou supervisors approve contracts, grants and administrative actions; cancel two meetings for elections

The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors approved the consent agenda and a range of administrative items on April 7, including procurement contracts, grant acceptances, fund transfers and FAA grant actions.

Notable consent items included a three‑year contract with Granicus for permitting and code enforcement software in the amount of $68,092.22 and ratification of the Sheriff’s CalEPA enforcement grant application and acceptance of an $81,000 award. The Board adopted multiple transfer‑of‑funds resolutions across General Assistance, Health and Human Services, Public Health, Women, Infants & Children, COVID‑19 ELC expansion, and Road Department accounts. The Board also adopted Resolution 26‑40 authorizing the County Administrator to execute documents for FAA financial assistance related to the Weed AWOS project and authorized establishing the state match budget.

Administrative actions included canceling the June 2 and November 3 regular Board meetings to allow County Clerk staff to support the 2026 Primary and General Elections, and appointing Tom Haistings to County Service Area #3 Advisory Committee (term through January 10, 2029). The consent agenda was approved following a motion by Supervisor Michael N. Kobseff and second by Supervisor Nancy Ogren; the roll call reflected four yes votes with Supervisor Ray A. Haupt absent.

The Board approved minute corrections for earlier meeting minutes and continued one appointment (Happy Camp Cemetery District) to a later date.
