On April 7 the Board received a presentation from Social Services Division Director Trish Barbieri and Deputy Director of Administrative Services Kirk Hendricks on second‑quarter FY2025/2026 caseload statistics and historical trends.
Hendricks reviewed ongoing cases, new case volumes and fraud activity across division programs and concluded with historical active caseload trend charts. Board members, Hendricks, Barbieri and Deputy Director Corey Watson discussed the need to modify reports to reflect realistic monthly totals, current and historical staffing levels, and potential negative impacts on County Human Services programs if HR 1 is enacted.
The presentation was for information and discussion only; no action was taken. Staff will update reporting formats as requested by the Board and continue to monitor caseload and staffing trends.
