The Spencer County Fiscal Court on April 14 authorized solicitation of bids for road department materials and services and approved several vendor payments during a special called meeting.
Esq. Stump moved, and Esq. Travis seconded, to put out bids for road department rock, asphalt, tree trimming and culverts; the court approved the motion by voice vote with all members present voting "aye." The court also reviewed an invoice register and discussed truck repairs sustained during an ice event; the treasurer reminded members that insurance would reimburse the county for repair costs.
On vendor payments, the court approved payment of $13,819.76 to Gary Yeoman after a motion by Esq. Travis seconded by Esq. Cotton; the vote passed with Esq. Eldridge recorded as voting "nay." The court approved a separate payment of $68.84 to NAPA on a motion by Esq. Eldridge, seconded by Esq. Cotton, with a unanimous voice vote.
These items were handled as part of the regular business portion of the special meeting; the court adjourned at 10:50 a.m.
