The purchase will be funded from two EMS budget lines identified in the meeting materials: $5,500 from account 01-5140-549-0 and $5,000 from account 01-5140-586-0. The court approved the expenditure in a voice vote after a motion by Esq. Eldridge and a second from Esq. Cotton; Judge Travis and Esq. Pharris were recorded as absent.
The action is intended to address service capacity by upgrading the qualifications of current county EMS staff. No additional personnel hires or specific overtime estimates were adopted at the meeting; the court recorded only authorization to spend up to the stated amount. The meeting also included an introduction of Cheri Patrick as the county’s new treasurer.
