Heard County commissioners reject road bids, plan to reissue

At the April 19, 2022 meeting the Heard County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to reject all road bids and to reissue the request for bids at a later date. Commissioner James Perry moved for rejection of the bids and Commissioner Larry Hooks seconded; the motion passed with unanimous approval.
No contract awards or vendor names were recorded in the meeting minutes. Commissioners did not provide a timetable for the rebid during the meeting; the board indicated the procurement would be resumed in the future.
