Dixon County board approves courthouse project timeline and hires bond counsel

After the presentation, representatives from DA Davidson provided information on issuing building bonds. Supervisor Steve Hassler moved to engage DA Davidson to perform legal work and advise on preparing the necessary resolutions related to bond financing; Supervisor Don Andersen seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to retain DA Davidson for bond-related counsel.
The board did not set specific bond amounts or a sale schedule at the meeting. County officials said the actions authorize next steps — detailed design, financing analysis and formal resolutions to be prepared by DA Davidson and returned to the board for future consideration.
