The Village of Fox River Grove board on Dec. 20 unanimously approved a Talon Special Service Area (SSA) tax levy of $4,600 and passed the consent agenda, while staff noted potential grant funding for infrastructure work.
Trustee Steve Knar moved to approve Ordinance 2022-18 setting the Talon SSA levy at $4,600; Trustee Jennifer Curtiss seconded and the five members present voted "yes." The board had earlier approved its consent agenda — including Dec. 6 meeting minutes, accounts payable for Dec. 20, and Ordinances 2022-20 through 2022-22 — by a single roll-call vote.
Administrator Soderholm told the board the Village has a pending Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application and said there may be significant funds available from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) for replacement of lead service lines. The board did not take further action on the grant item at the meeting.
The meeting opened at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned at 7:20 p.m. following the items on the agenda.
