Residents press Clayton council over Master Fee Schedule and Pride Parade; council member requests special meeting

Commenters included Ed Hartley (who also praised a recent “Coffee with the City Manager” but raised concerns about fees and elimination of master agreements), J Smyth (who raised a potential Brown Act technical violation from a prior meeting), Keith Haydon (who questioned the formula used to set fees), and Terri Denslow (who said anonymous letters criticized the Pride Parade and asked for more transparency). Supporters of the Pride Parade included Rebecca Nolen and Christine Muller, the latter thanking councilmembers Cloven and Tillman for their support and urging full council support next year.
In response to the sustained public concern about the Master Fee Schedule, Councilmember Trupiano requested a special meeting before Aug. 15 to continue the Master Fee Schedule discussion and allow additional public input. Council did not take a formal vote on changes to the fee schedule at the June 20 meeting.
