Mayor Oliver announced March 5 that Congressman Norcross secured $850,000 in community project funding for Pennsauken to renovate and improve the public works facility. "He secured Pennsauken $850,000 to help renovate and improve our public works facility," the mayor said, calling the investment a boost for safer equipment storage and better working conditions for public-works staff.
The mayor praised the township's public-works team for storm response and thanked staff members who helped secure the funding. Deputy Mayor Martinez reiterated event information for March — spring cleanup, Nature Day and an Easter egg hunt — and urged residents to subscribe to the township newsletter and Facebook for details.
Committeewoman Raffae recognized Fireman Michael Stamm Sr., who retired Feb. 28 after 36 years of service with the Pennsauken Fire Department, and congratulated the department on receiving a public-safety award from Assemblyman Bill Moen. Committeewoman Roberts reminded residents the annual shredding event will be held April 25 at the Municipal Building and announced Tanya Finney Estrada, director of the Pennsauken Free Public Library, was named the 2026 Librarian of the Year by the New Jersey Library Association.
The committee offered several expressions of thanks to public-safety and public-works personnel; no actions were taken on these items beyond public recognition and event reminders.
