Coventry council appoints Patrick Delude to Planning Commission

Another applicant, Glenn Skirka, described his civil-engineering background and prior municipal board service. Nathan Chatterley said he would remove himself from consideration because, citing Rhode Island General Law 36-14-5, he expects to have projects that would require recusal for a year if appointed.
The council noted an earlier applicant had withdrawn and that one candidate was absent but still interested. After taking the introductions, Councilor [motion seconded by a council member] moved to approve Delude's appointment; the chair announced the motion carried and welcomed Delude to the commission.
The appointment was procedural and no further discussion or conditions were recorded. The council then moved on to the evenings budget workshop.
