Importantly, the presenter flagged a Veterans Homelessness and Transition Grant with a $50,000 minimum award and up to $250,000 maximum. The office did not apply this year because the application deadline fell in mid‑March and the department lacked compiled performance data, but staff said they are beginning to track client needs and outcomes so the county can apply next year. Council asked whether the grant requires a local match; the presenter said they have not yet determined match obligations and will work with the administrator and other staff to evaluate feasibility.
